Chris Balzia

Chris Balzia has been working in the aviation industry for 18 years – first within the aircraft maintenance sector where he was employed with a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul organisation, and eventually moved on to the regulatory aspect. He joined the Civil Aviation Directorate within Transport Malta in 2015 as an inspecting officer and has recently been appointed head of the Safety and Compliance Unit. He is an MBA Graduate and currently pursuing an MSc in Aviation Safety and Risk Management at the University of Cranfield to specialise further in this important element within the aviation industry.
