David is a former Brigadier General and fighter pilot in the French Air Force. He holds an engineering degree from the French Air Force Academy and graduated from the War College. During his 38 years of military career, he notably directed the air force piloting school in Cognac and the Air Base 132 in Colmar. As the head of the Air Force protection and intervention forces, he led a major restructuring of the training processes, the equipment policy and the territorial implementation plan. He worked for 9 years in NATO structures as project director and head of strategic planning.
David then joined the French Civil Security (Ministry of Interior) as the Head of the civil security aircraft group in Nîmes before dedicating himself to the European water bomber aircraft project. In April 2023, he joined the DAHER Group for a mission as head of the Safety, Security and Crisis Management department. As a founding partner and President of Hynaero-SAS, David is convinced of the necessity to bring to the market a modern and efficient large amphibious water bomber to meet the growing challenges of wildfires and global warming and provide a comprehensive solution to the Aerial Fire Fighting operators.
