Eric Weisskopf

Eric Weisskopf, Managing Director at Hyperion Aviation Limited has long years of expertise at all levels within the aviation industry. He has experience in driving commercial and operational growth for a broad spectrum of aviation companies where he occupied leading positions in various well-known companies. 

Eric’s passion for aviation gave him the opportunity to fly gliders in the Swiss Alps at a young age before obtaining a driver’s license, then serve for the Swiss Air Force flying all kind of types from Turboprops to Helicopters and fast Jets and finally enjoy flying for global Airlines on anything from the Saab 340 up to the Airbus A340 and classics like the MD11 and B747. Besides the active flying, Eric always enjoyed also working outside the cockpit where he increasingly involved himself to grow companies into successful ventures.

Eric studied at University of Zurich and graduated with an MSc in Software Engineering, and later successfully completed an MBA, both a passion which he combined with aviation. The core essence of his commercial activities can be summarised as “build and grow”, whether this was for the Airline Industry at Edelweiss Air as one of the first employees, at SR Technics turning a former Airline Engineering Department into a Profit Center or starting new ventures and growing them into successful companies.
